Our History

North Star Services was founded by therapists Kelly Jackson and Jennifer Cowger. Both Kelly and Jennifer graduated from Indiana University with Master's degrees in Social Work, focusing on Mental Health and Addictions therapy. Both are licensed in clinical social work as well as in addictions counseling. In addition to a wide range of mental health experience, Kelly and Jennifer have specialized experience in areas including teen pregnancy, marriage and family issues, gender roles and sexuality, alcohol and substance abuse, school violence, adoption and foster care.

After working in the field providing therapeutic services to adolescents and families, Kelly and Jennifer decided to create this company which would allow them to provide a wide range of services. These services include individual and family therapy, counseling services, casework services, parent aid services, parenting classes, tutoring, mentoring, drug testing and more.

Kelly and Jennifer were determined to build a team of others who would be just as dedicated to providing quality services to families in need. The team utilizes a strengths-based perspective to enhance the lives of the families they work with. Services are rendered with the utmost professionalism and integrity.
